Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a food intolerance and a food allergy?
A food allergy is an immune reaction, usually to a protein, and often causes itchy skin. A food intolerance doesn't involve the immune system and mainly causes digestive symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting and wind.
Can I test my cat?
Yes. The Basic Cat Intolerance Test, the Advanced Pet Sensitivity Test and the Ultimate Pet Food Sensitivity Test are all suitable for cats.
How long do results take?
Results are emailed within 3-5 working days of your sample arriving at our lab.
What should I do after I get my results?
Use your report as a starting point. Remove one or two flagged foods at a time, watch for changes over several weeks, then reintroduce them to confirm. Speak to your vet if symptoms are severe, sudden or getting worse.
